BUSY
Yes Busy, Busy and Busy.
It is a common excuse given for a 9 to 5 worker. Busy with work. Busy, there are many task given by the Boss. Busy, many task to be completed in a short period of time. Last month, there were 3 customers carried out audit at my company. All audits were one after the other, no sure whether it just a coincidence or someone purposely arranged it that way. Each audit takes at least 2 days but the preparation took about a month. Each customer had their own specific requirement to be met. Every department is busy to assure the customer requirement had been followed and implemented 'effectively'. Even though, we are running the product at the same production system but there are differences we need to comply to each customer requirements. Pity the production members. When the audit date is closer. Everbody will be panic. I think the boss is more panic than others. He will starts giving more and new instruction for everyone to follow. These can create havoc at the production line. Some of the instructions are just to please the customer. The production operator running the production in stress.
Customer carry out audit annually so it is like a festive season for us. When we were informed that the customer coming for audit. We will start 'cleaning up' our house for the festive season. Every one at the production floor doing the housekeeping; machines, station, jigs and tools all are shining. The boss will carry out pre-audit to assure everything is OK.
You can know the result of the audit by looking at your boss face. If his face turns black and the chin touches the ground. WARNING - the audit result is bad. do not come close to him or ask him to sign any document. If his chick touches his ear. The audit result is good. Ask him to approve the over budget expenses immediate
When the audit is over. Everyone is relief. There is no more tension. The production operation running back to normal and smoother. As the overall result, the boss was please although require us to do more improvement to the system and operation.
For those of you who had the same experience like I am. Do share it with the readers.
